  Gold & Silver has a device called the Pokegear which allows you to call trainers you meet along with maps and a radio. Gold & Silver bring color to the games which is only found with useing the Gameboy Color systems even though there say Color on them there are playable on the regular Gameboy Pocket. Gold & Silver bring 99 new Pokemon to catch along with some new items and moves. Also introduces baby forms of Kanto Pokemon. Gold & Silver introduce two new types Steel and Dark which makes the battling a little bit harder with the resist and advantages. The Move Deleter was also introduced which allowed you to delete a Pokemon's known move. Gold & Silver also make what is called Breeding and gave your Pokemon genders which allows you to breed your Pokemon so they can have a baby Pokemon or learn a egg move. Gold & Silver changed the battling as well by making a special attack and defense unlike Red & Blue which only had attack and defense which makes training a little harder but well worth it. Gold & Silver was also the first games to make it a time function where during the game time ill change from day to night which is pretty cool and well known to this day.
